15th Jan 2018 - Welney Swan Feed
Six Fen Fatales joined several other chapters for the noon Swan Feed at Welney. We had a lovely day with our red hatter friends, as usual there was plenty of chatter and laughter. It was great meeting-up with ladies we hadn't seen for a long time, I was especially pleased to see Dorry who had not been at all well and is on her way to a full recovery.
The Swan feed itself was very informative and most enjoyable, our guide was excellent. We also had a lovely lunch, which was served to the table by nice polite staff.
Well done Welney and our sincere thanks go to Queen Janet Smith who arranged this playday.
15th Jan 2018 - Waterside
26th Jan 2018 - The Boundary Lunch
31st Jan 2018 - Bowling
It was a fun morning for a number of Fen Fatales when they met at Alley Catz for a couple of games of bowling recently. The first game was won by Jo with Gloria second, and the second game was won by Gloria with Rita second. Although not planned the Donnington ladies were also there at the same time. Thanks to Gill for organising the event.
8th Feb 2018 - Cafe Aurora
20th Feb 2018 - The Mailcart Lunch
16th March - Birchgrove
There were two dozen of us at our recent coffee morning at Birchgrove Garden Centre. This is normally a popular venue for us but especially so this time as we were celebrating the birthday of our Queen Pat. We all enjoyed our drinks bought for us by Pat together with some lovely cakes and pastries. It was a very noisy morning with lots of chatting and laughter and was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Our thanks to Judith for organising this event.
21st March - Belton House
There were a dozen of us on our recent visit to Belton House near Grantham. After meeting up for coffee, we had a guided tour of ‘Below Stairs’ before entering the main part of the house for a self-guided tour at our own pace. After our visit to the house we made our way to the Garden Centre just across the road and had a lovely, leisurely lunch followed by a little shopping. It was a super day with lots of sunshine and we’re already planning a return visit to Belton House to tour the gardens.
